Siyu Guo, a dynamic Chinese-born pianist based in NYC, embarked on her musical journey at the age of four. With a versatile repertoire spanning from the classical intricacies of Haydn, Mozart, and Beethoven to the evocative tones of Schumann, Granados, and the avant-garde compositions of Elliott Carter, Siyu’s artistry captivates audiences worldwide.

 

At just 14 years old, Siyu showcased her virtuosity by performing Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 1 with the Wuhan Philharmonic Orchestra. Since then, she has graced prestigious venues, holding solo recitals in Beijing, Kunming, Dalian, Ningxia, and Qingdao city. Delving into the realm of chamber music, Siyu showcases her artistry with compositions by Rachmaninoff, Scriabin, and Saint-Saëns in both Beijing and New York City.

Siyu has earned a series of accolades in the world of international piano competitions, including first prizes at the Nice International Piano Competition, The Hope Cup Competition, and the Hannover Gieseking International Piano Elite Competition, China Finals. Additionally, she has received recognition with a third prize at the Germany Irmler (Qingdao) International Piano Competition. She currently studies under the guidance of Soyeon Kate Lee at The Juilliard School.

 

Moreover, Siyu’s interests extend beyond the realm of music. She is fascinated by reading and exploring the correlations between music and other art forms, such as poetry and literature. By delving into the interplay of music and other subjects, Siyu sees music as a multifaceted power, reflecting the beauty of nature and humanity while also connecting artists to solutions for real-world issues.
